Coir

Coir is full of natural character. It is made from the strong fibres of the coconut husk found in Kerala, India. The natural fibres are removed by hand and softened in sea water, so that they can be woven into a selection of designs. Coir is both durable and good value. It is available in a spectrum of golden shades from natural to bleached.

Jute

Jute gives a tweedy look and is soft underfoot. It comes from the stalk of the giant corchorus plants, grown in southern India. The natural fibres are fine, making Jute more suitable to relaxing rooms rather than heavily used areas. It is naturally light brown in colour and come in a tight boucle and herringbone designs.

Sisal

Sisal is extracted from the Agave Sisalana plant, which is farmed in Mexico, Brazil and East Africa. This natural fibre flooring is versatile and hardwearing making it an ideal choice for hallways and stairs. Tightly woven with a subtle sheen, the natural fibres combine well with selected colours for a touch of easy glamour.

Twist Pile

One of the most popular styles, it comes in wool and manmade fibres. Variously described as “Hardtwist”, “Hightwist” or “Frise” the yarn has been given an extra turn or two and this results in a rougher surface texture which is less prone to showing footmarks.

Velvet/Velour

The sumptuous luxury of a Velvet carpet cannot be rivalled and we are seeing this trend grow in 2015. Offering comfort underfoot with the appearance of velour they are the ultimate statement of grandeur in a home. Velvet carpets have a close construction with a short pile and smooth top. They are available mainly in tufted and Wilton constructions and in wool or synthetic fibres.

Saxony

Saxony is a deep pile carpet ideal for bedrooms, livings rooms, and dining rooms. They are not only warm and cosy under your feet, but are easy to care for too – making them the ideal choice for a busy family home. They have shorter pile length than shag pile and the tufts tend to be closer together.

Loop Pile

Mainly available in natural and “Berber” colourways and made from wither wool or manmade fibres or a mixture.
