Hard Flooring

Wood Flooring

There are two basic types of wood flooring to choose from, solid or engineered. The “engineered” product has a surface of hardwood bonded to a laminated base which counteracts wood’s tendency to shrink and expand and makes it easier to lay. Solid products are available in planks, strips or parquet. An extensive variety of woods are used for flooring providing a beautiful selection of colours and textures from which to compliment your home.

Location and Use

Wood floors can be used throughout your home; we particularly recommend them for all reception rooms, studies, hallways. Modern protective finishes make wood flooring more durable so there is often no need for special polishes and buffing. Just use a soft broom or vacuum cleaner to keep them in good shape.

Our wood floor fitting service comes with ultimate attention to detail, focused on durability and safety of installation. We do not cut corners on floor preparation before putting the final layer of your parquet flooring, solid wood or engineered wood flooring down.
